Hello Trevor,

I am back in Belgium now.
I had a nice stay in Marrick.

The night drives are really great for the mammalwatchers. I enjoyed very much the 2 I did with many outstanding sightings as you mentioned.
arrick is the best place I was for nocturnal animals in south Africa and the guys did a excellent job in spotting and going off tracks.

Kind regards,

Jean

Dear Trevor and family

We visited Marrick Safari to see some of the rare and elusive nocturnal mammals the property is becoming famous for. The professional guides ensured we did not leave disappointed and we enjoyed sightings of African Wildcat and Aardwolf to name a few. Between the night drives we were able to relax in stunning surroundings with delicious food and luxurious accommodation.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we set foot in Marrick with friendly and attentive staff seeing to our every need. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer – something we will rectify on our next visit!

Until next time take care and look after those Aardvarks! We will be back!

Dear Trevor,

We want to thank you for a memorable and enjoyable stay at Marrick.

During our stay we felt very welcome, and your excellent team extended
us every hospitality. In particular Johnny Boy, who has an amazing eye
for wildlife. We had great game drives. We feel privileged to have
seen in the wild some rare and unique animals considered very hard to
spot almost anywhere else – aardvark, aardwolves, porcupines AND the
small-spotted cat. Wow!

It was an excellent start to our year-long trip around the world.

Thanks again and best of luck. Marrick really deserves to be
better-known as an eco-tourist destination in South Africa.

Kind regards,

Maureen & Matthew

Hi Trevor

Although somewhat late, I just now come to my computer to do all the work after the tour. We had a magnificient time at your lodge and I should like to meet you. Well, everything was fine with no complains from my group. You have a beautiful setting and we enjoy the late drive on the lodge. We saw some good birds and we shall definitely promote your place amongst birders. Your personnel is very friendly and helpful.

We can add Whitebellied Sunbird to your bird list.

Thanks again for everything. Will visit you again in future.

Dear Trevor and Hubri
Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend away at your place. We really enjoyed our house which was very peaceful with no one else around. Also enjoyed getting up in the cool moring and going out on  the mountain bikes. One thing I appreciate  about your farm is that there are no dangerous animals which makes it possible to cycle or walk and not be confined to a vehicle.  However, sitting on that little seat on the  front of your open air vehicle is also great fun. Loved the gemsbok - such beautiful animals. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We look forward to coming again.
 Best wishes
Judy and Ian Goldman

Dear Trevor
Linda and I would like you to know what a great time we had at Marrick Guestfarm. Although we had been to South Africa twice before this was our first taste of the northwest part of the country.  The highlight for us was the night drive, as your very able guides showed us at least five new species of mammals--springhare,  zorillo, African porcupine, and most especially exciting, the aardwolf and aardvark!  For anyone who enjoys seeing mammals, your farm is a superior stop.
As we mentioned, our main goal for the trip was to look for various bird species and during our stay we saw several endemics as well as a number of other interesting birds. Several were seen on your property but there are other good bird habitats in the nearby area.
We were made to feel very comfortable; the food and hospitality were outstanding.  We wish you the best and we will  pass on our recommendation to anyone traveling to your area.
Cheers,
Dick and Linda Taylor

Dear colleagues

Many, many thanks for giving up your time to assist with the Clemson University visit to Kimberley. I am especially grateful to those of you who presented talks and to those of you who took the group into the field. Bill and his colleagues and students have thoroughly enjoyed their visit. They are also very impressed with the friendliness of the people in Kimberley and their immense knowledge about a wide range of subjects. They have also spoken highly about the various lecture room facilities we have used and they have been impressed with the accommodation at Marrick. The food has been great, and thanks to Hubre, Sharon and others for the preparation of the meals. They will almost certainly be back next year!

Hi everyone,

Well you can see that when I am studying, I never get distracted especially thinking of South Africa. I know that it is now a month since we were all together and although life in the UK and normality has nearly set back in, I want to share this celtic poem of friendship with you all, because you have all left such an expression on me - some talk about a footprint on the soul. I just now that I am richer person for having meet you and although my emailing skills arent up to much and just wanted to leave a smile in your inbox:
A friendship blessing
May you be blessed with good friends
May you learn to be a good friend to yourself
May you be able to journey to that place in your soul where there is great love, warmth, feeling and forgiveness
May this change you.

May it transfigure that which is negative, distant or cold in you.

May you be brought in to the real passion, kinship and affinity of belonging

May you treasure your friends

May you be good to them, and may you be there for them;

may they bring you all the blessings, challenges,
truth and light that you need for your journey.
May you need be isolated;

but may you always be in the gentle nest of belonging with your anam cara.

Your acceptance means I will never let anyone shut me out again.

I hope this finds you well.

Take care

Juliax
